In Robert David Meyer's third installment of the "Snide & Guffaw" series, Zorro, El Guapo and Friends: What Could Possibly Go Wrong?, the answer is “Everthing!”

And everything does go wacky in these new drawings from the brain of Robert David Meyer. In this brand new collection of pen-and-ink masterpieces, Bob continues the zaniness, introducing us to a kaleidoscope of new characters, as well as bringing back fan favorites for a second, and even sometimes a third helping.

Chet Wellington, Fardo, Happy Mulligan, Neddy Girkel and The Docent Johnny "T" Watts wreak havoc in their world, and drag their chaos into Long Beach's famous Bixby Knolls and California Heights neighborhoods.

ROBERT DAVID MEYER

Bob is a life-long artist, whose passion for working with his hands includes not only humorous graphics, but serious (and not-so serious) oils, watercolors and mosaic tile masterpieces. Bob’s lampooning pen-and-ink drawings have been compared to satirists Gahan Wilson, George Booth, Paul Conrad, Charles Addams and other acclaimed masters found in many famous national publications.

Born and raised in North Long Beach, Robert David Meyer is the son and grandson of master tile setters. Bob was destined to become an artist and social commentator from the beginning. "Quirky" and "irreverent" don't come close to describing his humorous outlook on life, all of which comes through in his cartoon work.

Bob is also an accomplished serious artist (no kidding!), winning local awards for his masterful oils and watercolors. In addition to being a proud father and doting grandfather, Bob has been involved with the Boy Scouts for longer than anyone can remember.

Through the Meyer Tile Company, son Michael and Bob continue to create their tile artistry in homes across Southern California. Mike, who happens to be Willy’s real-life dad, is the fourth-generation tile master in the family business. Bob and his wife, Joan, have lived in the historic California Heights District of Long Beach for at least fifty years.
