Watch Out Kenny G!
Pettie Pasadoble's In Town
Who, you might ask, is "Pettie Pasadoble", and why on Earth is he even considering keeping company with Kenny G? Well, Pettie (aka "Petie, Petra, Peter...you get the idea) is Bob Meyer's third most-infamous friend, after Andy of Skewered: Baked, Broiled and Rinsed in California Heights fame, and Willy The Finn, featured player of Bob's eponymous On The Wild Side tome.
And what can be said about Kenny G? The curly-haired upstart who wowed the music world with such hits as By The Time This Night Is Over, Don't Make Me Wait For Love and How Could An Angel Break My Heart?. Believe it or not, after all these years, he's still upright touring. Live. I kid you not. A tribute to his stamina and his fans ability to appreciate real music. Go to www.kennyg.com to see his upcoming events (as of this June 2022 publication date) in Beaver Creek, CO (USA), Dong-gu, South Korea and Cancún, Mexico. Kenny G: no one-hit-wonder, he, and the latest target of Bob Meyer's satirical quiver.
In perusing Watch Out, Kenny G! Pettie Pasadoble's In Town, you will also encounter past and future favorites from Bob's panoply of characters, including the aforementioned Willy The Finn, Andy and Diego from Bake 'n Broil, clowns, witches, wizards and other indescribable beasts from Bob's all too fertile imagination.
As his friends like to say, "What's wrong with that guy?"

ROBERT DAVID MEYER
Bob is a life-long artist, whose passion for working with his hands includes not only humorous graphics, but serious (and not-so serious) oils, watercolors and mosaic tile masterpieces. Bob’s lampooning pen-and-ink drawings have been compared to satirists Gahan Wilson, George Booth, Paul Conrad, Charles Addams and other acclaimed masters found in many famous national publications.
Born and raised in North Long Beach, Robert David Meyer is the son and grandson of master tile setters. Bob was destined to become an artist and social commentator from the beginning. "Quirky" and "irreverent" don't come close to describing his humorous outlook on life, all of which comes through in his cartoon work.
Bob is also an accomplished serious artist (no kidding!), winning local awards for his masterful oils and watercolors. In addition to being a proud father and doting grandfather, Bob has been involved with the Boy Scouts for longer than anyone can remember.
Through the Meyer Tile Company, son Michael and Bob continue to create their tile artistry in homes across Southern California. Mike, who happens to be Willy’s real-life dad, is the fourth-generation tile master in the family business. Bob and his wife, Joan, have lived in the historic California Heights District of Long Beach for at least fifty years.
