Pushpinder Sadana came to the United States in 1972 from Delhi, India, carrying the disciplined mind of an engineer and the quiet, enduring spark of a storyteller. After years devoted to the aerospace industry, he turned to fiction, giving voice to the journeys, dislocations, and longings that had shaped his own life. His debut novel, Longing, follows Mona as she moves from the weight of caste and social expectation in India toward the hard won freedom in America. A passage marked by heartbreak, resilience, and the eventual triumph of both ambition and love.Confronted by the rising tide of hatred and greed across the world, Sadana turned in his second novel to the Partition of India, seeking to illuminate its human cost. He now makes his home in Southern California, where the open light and wide horizons echo the expansiveness of his creative life.
