"Hon" is Japanese for "book"

Imbrie Press Indie Publishing Imprint

Our Background
From stories of tragedy and triumph. like Summer of Love, Prairie Madness, Lest We Forget--Junoon, and Longing, to outright absurd romps through the fertile minds of humorist authors like Robert David Meyer, the goal of Imbrie Press is to realize the aim of all artists: get you to think.

About The Publisher
Peter Werrenrath, founder of Imbrie Press, has designed, edited and produced several serious and not-so-serious works by accomplished authors, through Amazon's Kindle Direct Publishing platform.

Peter is also the author of the soon-to-be-published Christian Holst mystery /
thriller novels , and a collective memoir about life-lessions growing up in the Midwest.

Our Logo
Peter's grandfather, Charles Kisselman Imbrie, came from a long line of Presbyterian ministers and missionaries. He was born and raised in Japan in 1881, became a Chaplain in World War I, and carried on his historical and spiritual journey in various U.S. domestic and overseas civilian posts. He was a reader, a writer and a man of good works in the world.

Combining the family name Imbrie and the symbol ,, (hon), a Japanese word meaning "book," Imbrie Press carries on the tradition and commitment for doing good works by helping authors make better publishing decisions.
